I'm thinkin about painting the side plastics flat black and leaving the front fender, fairing, and gas tank blue. If not it might be all flat black except the gas tank. What do you guys think?

Just flat black the whole bike fore the stealth look! ;D That blue color your bike is is what I'm trying to have my bike painted! Damnit, your lucky.
Question? what was mounted where the 2 holes are on the right side of your tail?

Those are an extra set Rich had but looks like they were lp flushmounts. Im probably going to get a tuning fork symbol decal to cover that up or putty it. I love that blue but i dont have any of the original paint so it would probably be very hard to match.

I was a fan of the flat (act satin blk, flat too hard to keep clean)black Ducati's that were out recently.
I dont think that the bike will look very good with a mis-match unless you somehow incorporate a stripe on the side fairings that incorperate the tank / fender . look at old pics of early fzr750 (89 OW01 looked especially nice...) to see what I mean.

I just used 800 grit and wet sanded em down (just the clear coat off). 4 coats of black primer. On the seat cowl i used the sandpaper to rough it up after the 4 coats and put 2 light light coats on. That turned out a lot nicer.

No just regular black primer from walmart (the more expensive one). It looks like it might scratch easy but it hasnt chipped or anything like that.

I love the blue (not the stock blue but custom) my bike is but only a few plastics are that color. I believe it would be almost impossible to match without the paint that was used. I would probably pay 100 -150 to get the rest shot that color if it was possible.
