Ok, check it out. I've been seeing these on bikes lately, and they look good on some, bad on others. I checked and companies are wanted around 100 bux for this bullshit bracket. So I fabbed one up with some scrap from work and figured hey, if I like it, I'll use it, if not, o-well, it was free. So here it goes: Keep in mind this is a rough make of it, it will be grinded smooth on all edges and painted black if I decide I like the look or not on my bike. Step 1: Layed a spare license plate down and traced it out. Cut it out with Tin Snips. Step 2: Find something round and big to bend your bracket on to get the curved shape. I used a 6" holesaw I had laying in my workvan. It should look something like this. Step 3: Cut out a V shape. Its hard to explain the size or angle, but look at it till it looks right. Your should now have these 2 parts: Step 4: Using a wide pair of pliers, bend up the (3) tabs. Two support the curved piece, and the other is your mounting tab. Step 5: For this step I couldnt acces a welder to tack it together so I used 2 stainless steel rivets. These will pull in your curve and lock it in at the right curve. Now just drill your 4 holes for your license plate and bolt up. I just threw on some 1/4X20X1/2 bolts and nuts. You're done! Should look like this...... Not everyone likes this mod so don't hate on me for doing it. Like I said, I'm not sure if I like it..... But we'll see tomorrrow when I mount it up.

... I dont know. What do you think. Fabrication wise it looks great but I dont know if I like the tag like that on our bikes. I think it would probably look better with the fender eliminated.

You should eliminate that fender anyway.

I'll have daytime pics when I get back, I'm outa town right now. Ok, ordered those gay leds that are meant for cars to go where the windshield washer nozzle sticks through the hood. The angle of the led is great with these and they were cheap on ebay. I'll mount two in the top two bolt holes on the plate. here's what they look like. Got them for 99cents!
