I hated the way my old pegs looked and felt. From the rear of the bike, they always looked as if they were sagging down so I decided to swap them out. I had the passenger pegs sitting around so I did some measurements with a caliper and it came out pretty close. I used a Dremel and a few cut-off wheels to remove the old rivet that holds the original pegs in place. After removing the pegs, I installed the passenger pegs by removing the bushing/collar, the detent ball and spring, and bolted it to the peg mount using an 8x1.25x35mm stainless steel bolt. Some loctite and and a bolt and I was all set. I did have to epoxy a small washer at the bottom of the peg mount to keep these pegs from sagging too. Other than that, it was a simple remove/reinstall installation. Here are some pictures I took: These pictures were taken during the mockup stage. I'm happy with the feel and the look. I think it turned out well for a zero dollar project ($3 for nuts and bolts if you don't have them).
